No. While experience in construction, transportation, or equipment operation is a plus, we are willing to train dependable individuals who have a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn our specialized process.

Is this a full-time position?

Most of our positions are full-time. Work schedules may vary depending on customer demand, weather conditions, and project locations, but we strive to provide steady work for qualified team members.

What kind of work will I be doing?

Our team relocates, delivers, levels, and anchors portable buildings throughout Florida. Duties may include operating equipment, assisting with shed moves, loading and unloading materials, preparing job sites, and working directly with customers.

Will I receive training?

Yes. We provide hands-on training to help new team members learn our equipment, safety procedures, and shed moving process. Our goal is to set every employee up for long-term success.

Do I need to know how to operate heavy equipment?

Not necessarily. Experience is helpful, but we provide training for many of our specialized tools and equipment, including shed mules, hydraulic jacking systems, trailers, and other equipment used during portable building relocations.

Is this an outdoor job?

Yes. Our crews work outdoors year-round in a variety of weather conditions while moving and setting portable buildings across Florida.

Is the work physically demanding?

Yes. This position requires lifting, bending, climbing, walking on uneven ground, and working as part of a team. Applicants should be comfortable performing physical work safely throughout the day.

What qualities do you look for in new team members?

We value reliability, honesty, professionalism, teamwork, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to safety. We can teach technical skills, but attitude and dependability are just as important.

Are there opportunities for advancement?

Absolutely. As our company continues to grow, dependable employees have opportunities to advance into equipment operator, crew leader, and other leadership positions.

What should I bring to an interview?

Please bring a valid photo ID, your resume if you have one, and be prepared to discuss your previous work experience, availability, and why you’d like to join the Shed Setters team.
